New kid’s gym concept coming to Daphne

Local investors paid $1.55 million for the gated 49-unit Executive Motorcoach Storage at 5749 Rabbit Creek Drive off Rangeline Road in Theodore, according to court records.The 37,500-square-foot facility specializes in high-end boat and RV storage. Lewis H. Golden ofHamilton & Company and Keith Vaughan of KV Properties handled the transaction and will jointly manage and lease the property.

We Rock the Spectrum Kid’s Gym is scheduled to open in early fall in the Staple Retail Center at 1802 U.S. 98 in Daphne, according to Niki Coker and Jay Roberds of NAI Mobile, who handled the transaction. The local gym owners are Maura and Kevin Coley and the gym will offer specially designed sensory play equipment to provide a place for children of all ability levels.

Factory Connection, a clothing and accessories store, has leased 4,000 square feet of retail space in Douglas Square shopping centeron Douglas Avenue in Brewton, according to Andrew Dickman of Stirling Properties. The store is set to open in mid June.

Servis1st Bank has leased 2,335 square feet of commercial space in Phase I of Portico, a new  mixed-use development under construction at 561 Fairhope Ave., in Fairhope, according to Jeff Barnes of Stirling Properties. Portico will consist of more than 30,000 square feet of commercial space as swell as luxury residential condominium units.

Wheeles Karate Academy owners are seeking site plan approval to open a 4,800-square-foot karate academy at 2050 E. 2nd St., in Gulf Shores, according to city planning records.

SBA Network Services , has leased 2,220 square feet of office space at 1015 Montlimar Drive in Mobile, according to Justin Toomey of Stirling Properties, who represented the tenant. Janet Keene ofBender Real Estate Group worked for the landlord.

Developers are seeking planning approval to build a 120-unit assisted and independent living facility on Cotton Creek Drive in Gulf Shores, according to planning records.

The city of Gulf Shores plans to lease the newly renovated Harry Roberts Community House at E. 16th Ave., in Gulf Shores as office space for the superintendent and staff of the Gulf Shores City Board of Education.
