Fitness club flexing its muscle with 2 new locations

Club4Fitness plans to open two facilities in Alabama early next year, according to Justin Toomey of Stirling Properties who worked with the fitness club to find the new locations. Kenneth Herring of Kerioth Corporation in Ridgeland, Ms., also helped secure the new sites. The all-inclusive fitness facility has leased 20,000 square feet of space in Hillcrest Plaza at 813 Hillcrest Road in Mobile. Cummings & Associates represented the property owner in the lease transaction.Club4Fitness also plans to open in 29,696 square feet of leased space in Schillinger Place at 2502 S. Schillinger Road in Mobile early next year. Angie McArthur of Stirling Properties represented the landlord in the lease. Club 4 Fitness operates 10 fitness clubs in Mississippi and these will be the first locations in Alabama.

Marco’s Pizza has leased 1,500 square feet of space in Midtown Center on Old Shell Road near N. Florida Avenue in Mobile, according to Amber Hightower Dedeaux of Vallas Realty, who represented the landlord. The center is anchored by Publix Super Market. Marco’s Pizza plans to open early next year and will join other tenants including Rock N Roll Sushi, Taco Mama and The Simple Greek.

Volume home builder D.R. Horton purchased 64 townhome lots off Canal Road in Orange Beach for $2.56 million, according to developer Nathan Cox of 68 Ventures. The community known as Gulf Streamis behind Blaylock Seafood and will feature townhomes in the 1,550 square foot range and prices in the upper $100s, according to Cox.

Platinum Air is seeking site plan approval to develop 7,200 square feet of office space, and a 16,800-square-feet of hangar space at 1155 Commerce Drive in the Business & Aviation Park adjacent to Jack Edwards National Airport in Gulf Shores, according to city records.

Keel Boat & RV Storage Lieb Engineering is seeking site plan approval to construct boat and RV storage facility on almost 7 acres at 27045 and 27085 Canal Road in Orange Beach, according to city records. The project would include a 40,000-square-foot building and 62,500 square feet of paved area.
