Through Jeremy Friedman’s marketing of a new development O’Reilly Auto Parts store in Forest, VA, he began talking with Mr. Toomey. Mr. Toomey was considering a 1031 exchange for the proceeds of a pending sale of investment property that he owned.
Mr. Toomey ultimately contracted to purchase the O’Reilly store in Virginia and enjoyed working with Friedman so much that he requested Jeremy represent him in the purchase of an additional property to satisfy his exchange requirements.
Friedman presented many properties to Mr. Toomey who made a few offers to purchase before successfully contracting to purchase a Burger King property in the Atlanta MSA. The property was recently developed by a major franchisee in the Burger King system. Friedman helped Toomey successfully evaluate and negotiate the lease of this sale leaseback property.
With Friedman’s assistance through this challenging process, Mr. Toomey was able to close both the O’Reilly Auto Parts and the Burger King to satisfy his exchange. These successful transactions also allowed Friedman to meet the needs of his original client that was looking to sell the new development O’Reilly Auto Parts store.
