Local investors buy shopping center

Local Investors paid $2.8 million for Mid Point Plaza South, a 28,040-square-foot retail and office complex on Ala. 59 in Foley, according to Robert Cook of Vallas Realty, who represented the sellers. Ralph Neal of Inge & Associates worked for the buyers. The The commercial center is 92 percent leased and is anchored by Anytime Fitness and First Baldwin Insurance. It is located just north of Old Time Pottery.

Investors paid $825,000 for 15 acres at the corner of Alabama 59 and Baldwin County 32 in Summerdale, according to Tim Herrington of Herrington Realty. The property has some small retail shops on part of the property.

The 350-room Lodge at Gulf State Park, Hilton Hotel, and the 40,000-square foot convention center on the gulf front in Gulf Shores is scheduled to open in November, according to park and hotel officials. The hotel will include a gulf-front infinity pool and a 24-hour fitness center. The event center will feature indoor and outdoor meeting space. And the project includes four restaurants, two of which will be open to the public.

Developers of the planned 69-lot Beach Village on Perdido Beach Boulevard in Orange Beach are seeking planning approval to build an airstream food court, according to planning records. Beach Village is a 22 acre site across from Cottages at Romar just west of just west of Village of Tannin. The food court would be at the southwest corner of the property. Developers are seeking to rezone the food court site from general business into the Planned Unit Development.

Fifteen commercial lots in Alabama Business Park on Stanton Road in Daphne will be offered for sale at a live auction on July 19,  at 11 a.m. at the Daphne Civic Center at 2603 U.S. 98 in Daphne, according to the National Auction Group based in Gadsden.
