Publix a reality for Foley

Papa Murphy’s, a take and bake pizza chain, has leased 1,400 square feet of space in the Blue Bird building on Old Shell Road in Mobile, and plans to open later this year, according to Jay O’Brien of J.L. O’Brien & Associates.

American Car Center has leased a 493-square-foot building at 2810 Government Blvd, in Mobile, near Pleasant Valley Road, and plans to open an auto sales dealership, according to Mamun Siddiq of Re/Max Partners, who represented the landlord. Jeff Barnes of Stirling Properties worked for American Car Center.

Construction is under way on Riviera Square on 18 acres off Ala. 59 just south of Pride Drive in Foley and will feature HomeGoods and a Publix supermarket, according to city records and Realtors. Mobile-based Burton Property Group is developing the center with the retail stores set to open in the spring of 2019 and Publix in summer 2019. The project is near the retail center anchored by Academy Sports Outdoors and Ross Dress for Less, which Burton Property Group also developed

TexarBama BBQ has leased the 2,000 square-foot former El Camino Taco Shack space at 212.5 Fairhope Ave., in Fairhope, and plans to open later this month, according to Harry Johnson of Gulf Coast Restaurant Brokers.

Sweet Tea Boutique has leased 1,000 square feet of retail space at Lloyd Place at 6207 Cottage Hill Road in Mobile, according to Jill Meeks of Stirling Properties, who handled the transaction. The clothing, accessories and gifts boutique will relocate from its store on Three Notch Road in Mobile. The original store in Grand Bay will remain open.

The law firm of J. Jerry Pilgrim & Associates, has leased 2,300 square feet of office space on the ninth floor of the Riverview Plaza Office building.at 63 S. Royal St., in downtown Mobile, according to Gavin Bender Jr. of Bender Real Estate Group.

Grifols Biomat, blood plasma center, has leased 2,500 feet of space adjacent to their existing location on Demetropolis Road at U.S. 90, and the additional space will be used as a  regional training facility, according to Janet Keene of Bender Real Estate Group, who represented the landlord. JLL worked for the tenant.

Anytime Fitness plans to open next month in Plaza North Shopping Center on 3 Nine Mile Road in Pensacola, Fl., according to Jason Scott and Jack Conger of Stirling Properties, who represented the landlord. The shopping center’s tenants include Hibbett Sports, Citi Trends, Tractor Supply and King’s Buffet.
